Going Green with Scrapbooking
Where in the World Is Joanna?I might be at an event near you. To see where I'll be signing books and giving presentations go to www.booktour.com. I'd love to meet each and every one of you. Be sure to tell me you get my ezine, okay? And yes, I've posted a partial schedule for 2009! Fabulous Freebies
Personal NoteI know the world looks a little bleak right now. These are the times that test our faith. If you drive east on Highway 40 near my home any morning, for a few seconds the road disappears! The sun will blind you. All you can do is hold your car to a steady course and trust-and have FAITH-that the whole world hasn't disappeared. But you can't slam on the brakes. Instead, you must move forward with confidence. ("Con" is Latin for "with" and "fidere" is Latin for "to trust.") You're in a blind spot caused by the rising sun. Experienced drivers know this is only a temporary problem. I'm old enough to know that the economy can really stink, and that finances can get really tough, and that the hard times won't last forever. But while they do, you have to have faith. You have to trust that good is still a part of your life. Then you have to work hard to focus on the good, or you'll miss it. So have faith. Gather your loved ones in your arms. Hug them tightly. Those are our realest, truest riches. And even a bad economy can't destroy what we have in our hearts.
